Playtime

Little man is everywhere these days and is moving much quicker... Lately I've had fun following him around and snapping pictures while he plays.

Attempting to help dad with some bathroom fix ups- the caulk gun looks cool

Climbing around...
his favorite spots are always behind the couch or the in the corners by dad's guitar or drums

Playing with his toy basket. He likes to use it to try and stand up and then occasionally surf on the carpet for a few seconds without holding on to anything. It is hysterical.

Andrew is also learning to just get the things he wants himself... instead of waiting for help :)

Makes life easier and harder at the same time... so I just spend the day crawling around after him and getting nothing done... and he still manages to fall over and bonk himself anyways! I love how curious he is though! He's growing way too fast!!

Rock Band Lady

Last night the Rock Band party upstairs reached an insanely loud level. Kevin thought about just going up and asking if he could play too... but instead we tried to just be nice and ignore it. After a few hours of the drum pounding waking Andrew up, I finally decided to do something. I picked up the little man out of his crib (we figured that taking a crying baby up there might help) and went to chat w/our neighbor. Fortunately, she was really nice and apologized profusely. We felt bad too... we don't like being those lame people who ruin other people's parties... so we made her cookies. Just as Kevin was getting ready to deliver the cookies this morning, she arrived at our door with these yummy pumpkin cupcakes and cream cheese frosting to say sorry.

Now we are all friends. We even have a standing invite to come up and play Rock Band... and the parties are going to be held elsewhere. I love having nice neighbors!

Designed to Sell

Today I felt like we were on an episode of HGTV's Designed to Sell as we met with a home consultant to decide what needs to be done to our condo to get it ready to sell.

I'm going to be sad to say goodbye to our cute little place when the time comes... but for now, we've got A LOT to do in the next month or so.

We are sending a lot of stuff to storage so we can get our place staged and ready to go.
Andrew has been very helpful with the packing.

He also seems to have quite a knack for knowing when my hands are tied up with scissors and tape and starts booking it towards the places he knows he shouldn't go- outlets, cords, cameras, the toilet, garbage cans ... It just makes my job a little bit more fun :)

Fortunately he seems to be taking after his Uncle Scotter and LOVES boxes... so they can keep him entertained for awhile until he decides to start eating the cardboard.

I've also discovered that he loves golf balls and footballs, so I just stick him on the floor with a few of them and roll them around and he crawls around like a little doggy just trying to get them to stay still so he can stick them in his mouth. Fortunately we've discovered that our floors aren't that level (or else the golf balls have some issues?), so the balls roll and roll!

We were up way too late last night trying to get everything in order for our consultation today. Fortunately, the lady liked our bathroom updates, so Kev & I were thrilled. Hopefully pretty soon our kitchen counter tops will look more like this (minus the bigger/nicer kitchen)

And our fireplace will look a little more like this :)

Wish us luck...well, mostly our in-house DIY man, Kevin :) Should be a fun new adventure... in the meantime I'll be looking for plants, wall-art, a little dining room table, and a rug. All things that I've been meaning to buy anyway. Good times... Andrew & I are always looking forward to having ANOTHER reason to go shopping, so this shouldn't be too tough :)

Snapshots

Here are a few pics Kevin has snapped of Andrew on their Father-Son hang outs. Some are old... some are recent.

Living the Google life

I love my cowbell

Happy feet

This picture is precious- Andrew's first time falling asleep w/out the carseat at church. Hopefully this event will be repeated some day.

This pic is of Andrew's first time in a high chair at a restaurant. He was really excited about drinking from the big boy cup.

The Candy Aisle

I introduced the little guy my favorite aisle at Safeway today... he loved his first trip in the shopping cart- definitely easier than using the Bjorn or pushing a stroller while carrying a huge overloaded basket.

Happy Little Accident

I attempted to cook today. I know, it's a shocker- it rarely happens these days. I tried to make my mom's easy version of these sweet potatoes for our youth Thanksgiving dinner tonight.

Instead, this is what happened.

Definitely the typical result when I'm distracted by a cute little boy who likes to crawl around. After I aired out the kitchen and surveyed the damage, I discovered that the marshmallows were exactly the way I like them... brown and crispy. Perfect for these.

Good thing we had just purchased some graham crackers and chocolate. Now, hopefully I can find a way to salvage the stuffing :)

Our Little Rock Star

Here are a few pictures from the past week.

Rocking out

Strumming with dad

Taking a food break at the park

Loving the swings- he actually will stay on them for 10 minutes and laughs the whole time!

Crazy hair

Hanging with his two little girlfriends

We've been having a lot of fun!
