Yesterday Andrew went on his first elementary school field trip. We went down to the Fitzgerald Marine Preserve in Moss Beach down by Half Moon Bay. The weather was incredible.
Here's D (one of my students), keeping Andrew happy and trying to implement some sleep techniques he was reading about ;-) Mostly his strategies involved saying" don't go to sleep again, stay awake, stay awake..." which Andrew ignored... maybe I should start trying that at nighttime?
Here's Andrew after he got his diaper changed by the beach. Such a happy kid!
We briefly visited Venice beach, but is was surprisingly sunny for Half Moon Bay, so we headed back to meet up with the kids at the tide pools.
Here's Andrew bracing himself for some more time with the crazy 2nd and 3rd graders. They LOVED him and he loved smiling at them and copying them when they'd stick their tongues out at him.
Yvette, Andrew and I hiked up to this ridge overlooking the water and just admired the beautiful scenery. Then Andrew and I hiked down some pretty steep cliff areas (he was hanging out and sleeping in the Baby Bjorn) to join the 3rd graders by the tide pools. If you look close enough in the pictures you might even see some harbor seals.
It was the perfect day!
