Snapshots

This week felt very busy... but it was still a lot of fun. Here are a few snapshots of our adventures.

Fun at Gilroy Gardens
Thanks friends for the great day!

Lots of cookie making

Working on a quilting project

Starting up work again... and feeling a little exhausted!!

Shopping and lunch in Walnut Creek

Hanging out with Elise, Dan & Maddie

A trip to Santa Rosa for Amy's baby shower

Thai Dinner in SF

The highlight of the Thai dinner was Andrew head banging the glass window and then pouring an entire glass of ice water on himself and on me. You can see just a little bit of his wet bottom in this picture. The little guy was COLD! Hopefully he learned his lesson!

Running around the Embarcadero Center

Yelling at the seagulls

We enjoyed every moment!

Busy Boy!

I should really be the one pulling my hair out!

This kid is crazy. We've had an eventful week.

Lots more climbing... and fortunately only one fall off a kitchen chair.

Some accidents (my poor little buddy tripped on a step at the playground and landed on his nose)

The little guy is also a speed machine. He only has one speed and that is FAST! Cement and concrete are not his friends. His head seems to be like a magnet for the pavement. We are working on the concept of SLOW!

It is a dull day if he doesn't get a scrape that draws blood. His legs are covered with black and blue marks. I can't even keep track of all of the things this crazy child runs into when he's speeding around the house pushing his little truck. I don't think my nerves can handle this active boy some days... but he definitely keeps me on my toes!

Justified

A few weeks ago I discovered a HUGE spider in our front closet.

I screamed and screamed and ran around. Andrew ran after me and cried. I called Kevin, he laughed and told me that it wasn't big and not to worry about it.

I didn't use the front closet for 2 weeks. Kevin was nice and checked the closet for me and let me know the spider had moved on.

I knew it had to be somewhere.

The other night I went into the bathroom and looked up. It was by the ceiling. I screamed a little quieter (Andrew was asleep).

I told Kevin... he nicely rolled his eyes. I forced him out of bed and he was totally surprised to discover that I WAS RIGHT! (that never happens around our house ;)) The spider was big!

He enjoyed trapping it in a cup and flushing it down the toilet... and I felt justified.

Hopefully in the future my screams about spiders and other large insects will be taken seriously... :)

So creepy just to look at the picture!!!

Changes

To follow up from this previous post, we are not buying the cactus house....

But, if all goes well with the inspections in the next few weeks, this beautiful place will be ours.

We are set to close at the end of September and move in closer to the end of October.
We are excited and sad at the same time.

Excited because we will have more space, and a great neighborhood... and sad because we'll be moving a little further away from a lot of our good friends. Hopefully things will go smoothly. We will finally have a guest room though, so plan to come visit anytime!

More pictures to come when I have time to post them.

SLUMBER PARTY!

It wouldn't be a slumber party without a cheesy chick flick...
