Balding Boy

Andrew is losing his hair. It looks like he has a receding hairline, plus one side actually looks like a patch of hair has been lost.

(Here he is in the hair glory days)

(this is of his special spot that has lost the most hair...besides his forehead)

Fortunately, it looks like there is some hair growing back in VERY SLOWLY... partially due to the cradle cap crap that keeps returning. I am hoping his hair is still strawberry blondish when it is all done growing back... but we'll see.

In other exciting news, Andrew graduated to the next size of diapers. Yay! He actually almost weighs 14 lbs or more by this point... so pretty soon we might have to move up again. I feel so fortunate to get an arm workout each day without even trying. :)

losing hair is never fun and neither is cradle crap. 3 suggestions to get rid of cradle crap... 1. If you still have the bristly sponge thing they give you at the hospital it works miracles on cradle crap. It's a sponge on one side and kind of soft bristles on the other side it works great to exfoliate the craddle crap on in the bath. 2 you could try olive oil. I hear it works wonders and 3 lotion his head every day.You will have to brush his hair after or it will be matted to his head. I use the sponge in the bath every day and he's only had it once for a day (I forgot the sponge at home when we went out of town)

Max is balding too. Actually we finally realized that it was getting bad so we gave him a major haircut. It made me sad, but I laugh when I see the horrible combover job we let Charlie get. I'm sure both our boys will regrow their beautiful red locks--at least if Charlie is a good example. It is so sad to see the cute fuzzy-head glory days fade, though!

hey there! i look occasionally at your blog from elise's link on FOMO. remember me? sara sherman (maiden name) neighbor at BYU when elise was in grad school with me....ANYHOW, congratulations on your baby boy!

when william was a newborn with cradle cap, our ped has us use selsun blue twice a week until it was gone. and THAT worked AWESOME. i tried scratching it off with that sponge thing from the hospital and i tried olive oil with my daughter when hers was incredibly bad, and they didn't work for hers, but selsun blue worked awesome for william. just make sure you use the tiniest amount and don't get it in his eyes! or ask your pediatrician like i did....yours knows you and your son better!
