1 month old... um... at 6 weeks and a 2 yr old

Ryan is 6 weeks old now. I cannot believe it! I missed taking an official "one month" photo, so here are a few to make up for that. (Just for contrast... check out these pictures from when he was 3 weeks old... he looks totally different)

I love both of these pictures. We think he was smiling (or trying to smile) at the light.

Kathren and Shari gave me cute 1 month stickers, so we tried them both out. Next month I'll remember to get a plain white onesie out of Catie's room (where all of Ryan's clothes are) before she goes to bed... or I might even been on the ball enough next month to take photos during the day... we'll see?

Little strong man

And we definitely needed a shot of Ryan's receding hairline. To be honest, he didn't have much hair to begin with... so it isn't too shocking... but he looks like a little old man now. Very little hair + growing head = balding man! Love it.

Ryan spends his days either being ignored or kissed by Andrew and Catie. The big sibs are too interested in arguing with one another to be jealous of the little dude.

I had to buy this little outfit when I spotted it.

At 6 weeks Ryan is...

  • wearing size 1 diapers and newborn and 0-3 month old clothes
  • sleeping in our bathroom (lucky duck)
  • eating every 2-3 hours, 24 hours a day (hence all the growing he is doing!)
  • typically sleeping 1.5-3 hours at a time each night
  • generally happy and easy going (only usually cries when he's hungry, having stomach pain, or overtired)
  • takes a pacifier to calm himself down, but doesn't seem to be a total addict like Andrew or hate it like Catie... we'll see what happens

To celebrate decorating our house a bit and Ryan hitting the 6 week mark, Kevin and Catie made peanut butter blossom cookies tonight before Kevin had to head off to sing in the choir at the Celebration of Christmas program.

Catie shoveled those things in her mouth amazingly fast once they were done. We just finally started giving her peanut butter and she is a big fan.

Catie had her 2 year old doctor's appointment this week and the doctor told us she's perfect :) I'm sure she says that to everyone. Catie is in the 95% for height and 85% for weight so she's definitely growing! She also has almost all of her 2 year old molars in which explains why she's had a few bad nights of sleep in the past month (something unheard of for our little gem of a sleeper).

That's all the excitement going on over here this weekend.
