Bragging a little... :)

My sister Jessie is an awesome athlete. We went to watch her in a tournament this weekend expecting she wouldn't play because she has a broken wrist, some back pain, and bruised ribs from an intramural soccer injury. This is her Senior year as a Captain on the BYU Women's lacrosse team. She decided that sitting on the sidelines wasn't going to work for her.

My mom went to FedEx and got her a bunch of bubble wrap to go over her cast. She played in three games yesterday. Nicknames from the fans included "FedEx" and "Casty." She scored several times.


Here's her victory dance after they won their game last night (she's on the left). The game was beautiful. They were losing and then brought it back and dominated for most of the rest of the game.

I was so proud to see what an awesome team BYU has at the beginning of the season. We are hoping they make it to the National Tournament this year. After playing on the BYU women's team for so long, it makes me so happy that Jessie continued the tradition of playing. Hopefully Maddie will carry the tradition on when she gets older too. She already loves her lacrosse stick!
