Happy Kid

Yesterday when we merged onto Highway 280 and started going south, the little man started yelling "duck, duck."

He does this every time we go on 280... even if we are not going to the Children's Museum. Kevin & I think it is funny. I'm impressed he put the two together. Yesterday we actually did go to the museum. He cheered when he saw his ducky friend.

Today when we pulled into the Nordstrom parking lot at the mall the little man yelled, "cookie, cookie."

When he saw the parking garage he yelled, "garage" and once we parked he clapped his hands together and yelled, "yayyyyyyy!"

Looks like I have successfully trained him to love the mall through helping him associate cookies with shopping.

Our final goal at the mall (after getting cookies), was to find some accessories for Andrew's Halloween costume. We got another huge outburst of enthusiasm from the little man when we found this cool foam sword at Pottery Barn Kids. When you hit things with it, it makes sounds like you are having an intense sword fight.

When we paid for it the little man yelled and clapped, he was so happy! I practically got smacked in the head the entire drive home... but the little guy loved it.

Despite the fact that Andrew's sleeping poorly due to his hurt leg (lately he will only nap in the car or his stroller), he is the most chipper and enthusiastic kid ever.

At the park today when he was hobbling around and got tired going up and down the stairs to the slide, there was no complaining or whining, even when it was obvious his leg was hurting a bit... instead he just laughed at himself and crawled around happily.

I feel so blessed to have a little boy with such a positive attitude! Makes me remember that I need to have a better attitude when I am going through hard times... cookies always seem to help too! :)
