Surprise Celebration!

Last week my friend Rita (the advisor that works with me in YWs) told me that she'd arranged things with Kevin so that he could get home early and that she would be picking me up at 6:30pm on Wednesday night for a little surprise.

This was my surprise- dinner and dessert at Strizzi's Italian Restaurant with loads of my favorite girls and leaders!! Pretty much all of the Mia Maids and Laurels were able to come (the girls I've taught at church for the past 3 years)... it was such a fun surprise to see all these beautiful girls who have such busy evenings stop by and come have dinner and dessert with me! Dinner was AMAZING, as was all the bread we inhaled, and so were the chocolate brownie sundaes. Mmm! I will need to work out double tomorrow.

Love these girls!

They gave me the best present ever too... cute little useful items to pamper me and the baby, a few cute cozy sleepers, and loads of cards with special homemade gift certificates from each girl. They all know me well and I have several gift certificates for free dinner, babysitting so that I can take a nap, and lots and lots of homemade treats that they'll be making me. Yum!

Andrew was especially excited about this portion of the gift... and will be helping me (and baby boy) devour these treats tomorrow.

What a sweet, thoughtful, and unexpected surprise! I am still a little shocked by the whole event and feel so blessed to have such kind friends.

PS- I took one last bump shot. I won't be taking any more. This is me at 38 1/2 weeks. I think I skipped the cute pregnant stage this time around and just went straight to the massive stage. I now weigh as much as I want to weigh for this pregnancy. The most common thing people say to me right now is "wow, you look ready for that baby to come."

I am actually not ready yet and want the kiddo to stay put for 2 more weeks. I can't wait to meet him, but I'm enjoying lots of naps, sleeping in, and have way too much to do before he can make an appearance.

You TOTALLY look like a cute, pregnant woman! I can't believe that the baby is on the way soon. Good luck in the coming months!

Are you kidding me? Your whole pregnancy has been a cute stage! Such a cute pic. Also, that is so sweet of the girls! I couldn't think of a more deserving leader, though. :)

How how exciting that you are so close!!!! You are so cute and little--just a skinny girl with a belly slapped on. Your dinner sounds so fun and that basket of gift certificates is perfect. Your comment on my blog about the coke and the instgram were the best. I had you in mind when I wrote that. I'm up to at least three cans a day--and I an ready for more! I'm so excited for your baby--enjoy these last few days!
