Back to New Jersey!

While we were on the East Coast, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to drive down to NJ and meet up with some friends and visit some of my favorite places from when I was little. We did the 4 hour drive late one night and then drove back the following night. It was a quick trip, but we had a great time.

While Andrew napped, Kevin and I visited some of the places that I love or that trigger great memories.

After our tour we headed to The Broadway Diner for brunch. Mmmmm! Chocolate chip pancakes! Delish!



Kev taught Andrew how to say "AAA" after he drinks his juice. It was really cute.


We also took a trip to my favorite mall ever... The Mall at Short Hills. It lost some major brownie points when Mrs. Fields went away several years ago.


Imagine our surprise to discover that Mrs. Fields is BACK and bigger than ever! I think the store was the biggest Mrs. Fields I have ever been to. There were even several tables. I could've stayed there all day. It took a lot of coaxing to get Andrew to leave.



After our trip to the mall we headed over to see Kathren and Nick. We loved our tour of their beautiful new home. Andrew enjoyed a nice long nap in Caraline's pack n play. He also had fun playing with Maui. Maybe we could try this instead of hiring a babysitter?

We also took a trip to Magic Fountain for some ice cream before we headed back to Boston. It was so fun to spend some time with the Delikaris family and see Caraline's cute nursery! We can't wait for her arrival in July!

On the drive back Andrew let it be known that he was done hanging out in the car. Fortunately our emergency lollipop helped change his mind pretty quickly.


What a short and sweet trip! Can't wait till we get to go back someday!
