Church Distractions

Andrew has some good weeks at church... and some bad weeks (mostly a lot of bad weeks). Being reverent for an hour + is tricky for him because he is a gabber. He needs lots of things to distract him. I am part of a monthly Family Home Evening group with a few other moms. Each month we take turns making different components of lessons that are targeted at kids ages 18 months- four years-old. This month my friend Sarah outdid herself. She made each of us these cute little felt people to use during church on Sundays... and during our FHE lessons about the Sabbath Day.

I am going to be making some more little felt outfits and accessories since this little activity ended up being such a hit in church today. The little dude played with his felt guy three different times and never had to go out into the hall. I wish I had pictures of the little felt girls that Sarah made... they were even cuter, with little pearl necklaces and darling skirts.

We also made the mini felt boards (behind the little felt guy) at our FHE group exchange on Thursday night. I love having time to hang out with other creative moms! They are such an inspiration and make me want to be a better mom!
