Yesterday his little buddy Paige came all the way from San Francisco for an afternoon of fun. Paige's mom and I used to work in classrooms next door to each other in Palo Alto.
Andrew was a little gentleman... for the most part. He filled up the swimming pool nice and high.
Introduced Paige to popsicles- this was her first!
Splashed her with freezing cold water.
And taught her some cool tricks on the slide.
He also showed her all the snails and spider webs in our backyard and even let her take turns with his toys.
Today we headed over to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek for a playdate with Amy and baby Jane. Being a twin has a lot of perks... one of which is double the friends! Amy was one of Elise's roommates at BYU and is still one of her close friends. I am so lucky that she lives in the East Bay not far from me, so we get to hang out.
While we waited for our friends, we threw money into the fountains... and found lots of bees.
Andrew was really excited to run over and tell me all about how cute the bees were. The fact that he says, "they are so cute" is precious... but I made sure to remind him of his previous experience with bees/wasps and he did a good job staying somewhat far away.
For lunch with Amy & Jane we went to Boudin Bakery and then walked to Civic Park for some playtime.
Andrew spent most of the time building castles and tunnels with the big boys. He actually negotiated with them and got them to let him play.
Meanwhile, I spent time chatting with Amy and cute Jane eating lunch in the shade. Andrew thought Jane was so beautiful and loved trying to "trade" toys with her. He also wanted to crawl like her.
Jane waving hi!
Me and little Jane- excuse how terrible I look! It was sooo hot!
Little man's opinion of Jane's flower headband- "It's beautiful mommy!" What a sweet little girl!
We are lucky to have so many great friends to spend time with!
