A Wedding... and a Food Coma

Yesterday we attended the wedding of two of our favorite people... Jeremy & Marisa

We have been hoping for this day for a long time!

The weather was gorgeous and Marisa & Jeremy looked amazing! I got very few shots of them at the temple because I was so distracted by crazy Andrew (hunting for snails), but here's a shot as they just came out of the temple- so radiant and happy!

In the silence as everyone snapped pictures, Andrew loudly made his presence known and was REALLY excited about Marisa's flowers... so I think he was the first one to greet the newly married couple as they came out of the temple.

I can't wait to see the group shots that the photographer took as we tried to hold Andrew... he was more interested in running around and getting in pictures with all the pretty single ladies at the wedding... and playing games on his new friend Becky's iPhone.

Kevin's college roommate, Bryan, (who grew up with Jeremy in VA) came into town for the wedding and stayed at Hotel Buskirk for the night. After the ceremony we took him over to Fentons for a wedding reception appetizer. Nothing is better than a HUGE ice cream sundae to hold off hunger (or stretch your stomach) prior to a big Italian wedding feast.

Little man enjoyed getting his energy out by bouncing on the seats while eating ice cream, ketchup, ranch, and a few french fries.

After dropping off the little man back at the Buskirk casa with a babysitter, we headed down to Palo Alto to Caffe Riace for Jeremy & Marisa's reception.

The restaurant was beautiful and the bride and groom did such an amazing job at making all their guests feel loved. I thought their table centerpieces (personalized based on which table you sat at) were phenomenal. We got to look at pictures of some of our favorite moments with Jeremy & Marisa while we ate dinner.

If you look closely you can see a cute pic of Jeremy with baby Andrew at Bruce's wedding... and on the other side was a great picture of Jeremy & Kevin doing demolition in our Terstena Place bathroom.

We are so blessed to have Jeremy as one of our best friends... and we have loved getting to know Marisa as they have dated. We were SO EXCITED to be able to celebrate with them last night.

The newly married Dittmers!

After socializing with Palo Alto friends we haven't seen in awhile, we got in the buffet line and were served enormous amounts of incredible Italian food. Jeremy served his mission in Italy and we expected nothing less than amazing when it came to the Italian reception dinner... and we were not disappointed. In fact, I am still completely stuffed today.

Kevin's fully loaded plate

For dessert we were served gelato and cannolis

I loved watching Livvy devour her gelato :) and then get all concerned about how messy she was... Andrew does the same thing!

We loved having an evening out to chat with friends and hang out together, just the two of us.

Congrats Jeremy & Marisa!! Thanks for letting us be part of your wedding day!
