On my way back from my NYC trip, I picked up Andrew in Utah and had less than a day to hang out. We decided to spend the morning at Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest at Thanksgiving Point with our friends Sarah and Izzie (who have been living in Utah for the past few months).
This look pretty much summed up how Andrew acted for a good chunk of our trip to Cornbellys. :) Surly and ornery. Fun times.
Little dude loved the giant pillow bounce things they had there... and of course had to bounce on the big one instead of the one for kids his size. He is pretty tough, so I figured he'd be fine.
He went over to the little bouncing pillow for awhile... but then went back to the big kid one.
He eventually jumped too high and went too fast down the edge and bit the dust... and literally ate a lot of dirt and sand. Poor little guy scratched up his nose pretty badly too. Being the awesome mom that I am, all I had was Diet Coke for him to use to wash the dirt out of his mouth.
He was even grumpier for the next little while- this time at least it was semi understandable.
We finally threw the grumpies out the window for a bit when he started doing this water duck race thing.
He also loved the pink tricycles... though riding them on hay wasn't the best idea. Perpetual torture as you really don't move or go anywhere.
Little man was stoked to ride the cows... until he realized he was all by himself (Izzie just wanted to watch) and the farmer kept driving him around and around forever- he eventually started crying and I was glad when the farmer decided to be done.
The kiddie corn maze was a hit.
These two were especially excited about the old corn pieces that they found. We tried to get them to "pretend" to eat the corn... I don't know how successful that was, but neither of them got sick, so that was good.
Running through the corn and hiding was also exciting. I was glad when they actually found their way out of the maze as well.
And we of course kept finding more corn...
We ended the day with the spider web and then we dragged two semi-tantrumy hungry overtired kids up to the Thanksgiving Point Cafe for lunch.
While we waited for food, they mutilated the hay bales- grabbing handfuls of hay and throwing them everywhere!
Sarah and I finally enjoyed a little peace and quiet while they stuffed their faces with grilled cheese. :) and we got to chat a bit. They were so adorable together.
Andrew was especially excited about his fries, ketchup, and mommy tickling him! :) I was so relieved to have my happy little boy back!
We ended our trip with some 25 cent kid cones at the ice cream parlor and a big sticky mess!
Such a great day!! Can't wait to hang out again later this month!!

I forgot how funny it was when the farmer drove Andrew around solo FOREVER. Excited to see you all later this month and hopefully Baby Caitlin cooperates with waiting until after Thanksgiving to make her appearance.
