A little puddle jumping

The theme of the day was rain. Rain rain rain... and more rain... but we still had a lot of fun in SF... at least once we all got $3 umbrellas at Pier 39.

Mt. Diablo was covered with snow today and it was pouring on our way into the city. We hoped it would stop, but it never really did. We stomped through puddles, ate mini donuts at Pier 39, went to lunch at Boudin Bakery, explored the Aquarium of the Bay, and ended the day with a trip to Ghirardelli. Loved it. Except for the crowds, fighting for tables, and wet socks!

Below are a few of my favorite pictures from the day. I designated myself the family historian.

The grilled cheese sandwiches at Boudin were deemed the BEST EVER... and I've tried a lot of different ones. Cheese bread with cheese melted inside... then dunked in rustic tomato soup. Heaven!... especially on a cold wet day. Can't wait to go back.

Caitlin conked out in the most awkward position. She wore two of Andrew's sweatshirts to stay extra warm since I forgot her pink snow suit :(

Little man was in love with his umbrella.

Chasing Uncle Scotty and sword fighting with umbrellas...

All the kiddos were good sports and HAPPY! Hooray! Andrew walked about a mile from Pier 39 to Ghirardelli jumping in puddles and twirling his umbrella... so it went pretty SLOWLY.

Man were we happy to get into warm dry cars by the end of the day!

Only you and your family would brave the city in the RAIN!! It looks like you all had tons of fun. What to not let a little rain stop the fun!
